We always recommend that the OPTIFAST® VLCD™ Program be taken under the supervision of a healthcare professional. Research has shown that having the support and guidance of a healthcare professional will make the program more successful and will increase compliance.

When it comes to weight loss, everyone is different and no one plan will suit or achieve the desired results for all people. Becoming an OPTIFAST® VLCD™ Accredited Healthcare Professional will allow you to learn and give you the confidence on how manage the OPTIFAST® VLCD™ Program to best meet the needs of your patients.

A 1.5 day workshop, includes:

✓  Understand the role that OPTIFAST® VLCD™ plays in your practice toolkit.
✓  Review the evidence surrounding VLCD* use.
✓  Learn how to tailor your OPTIFAST® VLCD™ recommendations to meet each individual’s unique dietary requirements.
✓  Undertake practical case studies so that you feel confident using OPTIFAST® VLCD™ with your clients.
✓  Learn how to transition off OPTIFAST® VLCD™ and onto a sustainable eating plan.
✓  Learn how to access the OPTIFAST® VLCD™ website so that you can support your clients online.
✓  Full members on the program have the opportunity to connect with a healthcare professional should they wish to.
✓  Undertake assessment to become an accredited OPTIFAST® VLCD™ consultant and contribute towards assessed CPD activities for the Dietitians Association of Australia.
✓  Have the opportunity to attend a networking breakfast.
