The OPTIFAST® VLCD™ Program is supported by an OPTIFAST® Advisory Board of experts which comprises of a broad range of Healthcare Professionals with expertise in obesity and weight management.
These professionals include cardiologists, endocrinologists, exercise physiologists, dietitians, consultants physicians in clinical nutrition, pharmacists and clinical psychologists.
All members of the board are supporters of the OPTIFAST® VLCD™ Program and utilise the diet program in their treatment plans. Many of them also conduct research utilising the OPTIFAST® VLCD™ Program.

The Weight Management Code of Practice was launched in 1994 by the Weight Management Council of Australia – of which Nestlé Health Science is a member. The code aims to provide a comprehensive guide for the protection of consumers' rights and the conduct of weight management businesses.
